Mt Auburn Nature Walk & Bird Photos

Come on a nature walk, with William, an experienced birdwatcher, photographer and naturalist, and grandson of Atrium Founder, Ginny Kahn. On this walk, you will look for birds and wildlife in Mt. Auburn Cemetery right across from the Atrium, though other locations can be arranged. This could also be a nature-oriented photography workshop in Mt. Auburn, which would focus on finding and approaching wild subjects and work on technique and composition as needed. Walks can be scheduled anytime on weekends or selected weekdays. Open to everyone grade 2 and up, as well as adults, up to six people. One adult is required to come along on all walks.

William is a 16-year old, avid wildlife photographer and supporter of the Atrium School. He can be seen frequently skulking around Mt Auburn Cemetery and environs with a long lens and camouflage after school working on getting the "perfect image" of rare or little-known birds. A photographer of two years but a naturalist and birder for seven, he sees knowledge of and interaction with the subject as integral to the photographic process as composure and technical skill. The photos on offer are of birds that can all be found near the Atrium campus or the abutting greenspaces. Go to picasaweb.google.com/4mrfish for a more extensive gallery.
